New Castle and Port Macquarie

3 nights in Sydney it was time to start up the coast. Our first port of call was Newcastle and Nobby Lighthouse Bay. (and beach or course). Here I got a picture of some boats come into the bay. The lighthouse. The boys dipping their feet in the water. Christopher also wrote something in the sand, but I didn't get a chance to read it before it was washed away by the water.

After Nooby it was on to Part Macquarie. On the way there we traveled up the Pacific Highway. Arrived in the evening at Port Macquarie. Had Italian dinner at a Bring Your Own wine restaurant. Jennifer and I went to a bottle shop and got a sweet wine to drink. It was very good. Deanna ended up drinking almost 3/4 of the bottle and no-one really noticed until we were leaving and I was a little goofy. It was a good time though. We spent the night at The Port Hotel. The funniest thing happened while I was driving that day. I got a little to close to the side of the road and at the moment I did. Charlie turned his head and a branch from a tree came into the car and whapped him in the face. I couldn't help from laughing hysterically. He didn't get hurt or anything so laughing at the time was OK. The next day we started off with breakfast at the Pancake House, MMM MMM good. Then we went shopping at Target and then went to the Koala hospital. They take care of koala's that have been hit by cars, or burned in brush fires. After they are healthy enough they go back to the wild.

After the hospital we went to the beach! Pictures of the ocean, waves crashing on rocks, rolling hills, myself and Christopher on a cliff (which he climbed in his sandals), and the lighthouse there are below. While we were walking back to the lighthouse we saw a bunch of baby crabs skittering on the shore. They were transparent and I was careful not to step on them.

Off we go again, this time on to Coff's Harbor. Christopher found this nice bumpy gravel road for us to go down! I also got a few nice offroad pictures of rolling hills and nice countryside.
