Blue Mountains
After our morning tea we were off to the Blue Mountains. Our guide, Dave, knew of this off road, non-tourist attraction. It was off of this gravel road. When we got there there was nobody there. Just us, the view, and the trees.

Here I am sitting in front of, standing in front of, and hanging over the edge of a cliff in front of the Blue Mts.

The next stop of our journey took us to a waterfall that starts with Wool. I failed to write it down or get a pic of the sign. See what happens? I don't remember what I saw!

Some more pictures of the Blue Mts. from Bedrock, where we stopped for lunch. Just prior to lunch we stopped at The Candy Store in one of the small towns we passed through. There they had candy from all over the world. I picked some up from Holland, Australia, USA, and Belgium.

After lunch we headed to the 3 Sisters. Aboriginal legend has said that these 3 sisters were admired by 3 princes but their Father did not want them to marry them. He was a wizards to to keep them from marrying he turned them to stone. Before he could turn them back he died leaving them as stone.

Next we are on to Katoomba where the world's steepest railway lies. The railway used to be used for the coal mine that lay in the bottom of the valley. Here we also rode in another cable car down the mountain and then came up the railway. Note the sign next to the railway.

After viewing Katoomba and the 3 sisters we stooped at an Aboriginal drawing of a kangaroo in rock.
Last stop of the day was at a National Park. There we viewed Kangaroos, Cockatoos, ducks, and Kookaburra birds in the wild. The Roos are aware of people but will not let you touch them. You can get close, as I did, but any closer and off they hopped.
