Horse Back Riding
After an exciting day in Coffs Harbor Chrisopher and I were on to the challenge of a 2.5 hour hors back ride in the bush of Australia. how fitting that the name of the company taking us out was Bush Trails. Here is the little place were we began our trek at 9 am in the morning. (No matter how hard I tried we were always up earlier then I wanted to be on my VACATION!)

Off the back of the house there was a great view. We arrived a little early as we were unsure as to how far it was from Coffs. After we were there we found out that the next trail ride 4 out of the 5 had cancelled and they were trying to get a hold of the 5th to see if she would come on our trip. So instead of leaving at 9 we ending up leaving about 9:30-10.
Christopher with Allie, his horse.
Myself with Star, and some of the guides. I found out early on that Star, my horse, was a slacker. he did not want to keep up with the rest of the group. I would constantly have to trot him to catch up. Needless to say I ended up having butt fatigue for the next couple days because of it.
They have huge spiders there called Huntsman. These spiders make big, orange, sticky webs. On our ride we saw a few. One of the guides had to clear the path of 2 of them. They had merged their webs to go across the trail. They were huge. Unfortunately I did not have the foresight to take a picture at the time.

Our first break of the day. I got my horse, Star, and Christopher with Allie again. The blond was one of our guides.

We stopped at a statue in the middle of the forest. evidently there was this tight walker guy that used to come out there and practice, we still saw remnants of the wire hanging from a tree. He built a statue to himself there. It was made out of beer bottle, cement, and door keys from all the hotels that he had stayed in.
We got back in the early afternoon, approx. 1:30-2. Were served a light lunch of cold chicken and fruit. very good. And were on our merry way to Byron's Bay.
