Rafting
Another early morning. April 8th we go rafting. Arrive at the Tully River at approx 9:30 am. Mark is our guide. Down we go! Have video that shows 5 rapids that all 13 boats went down. It was an awesome time. Just before lunch we come to a waterfall where we all get soaked! Lunch is burgers and fruit. At the stop there was a big rock overlooking the river. On that rock a spider had created a web. I went to go to the end of the rock and if I hadn't looked up I would have ran right into him. That would have been bad. There was also a large eel in the river. Alas I did not bring the camera so pictures I have not. Back to the rapids. Out of the boat I fall! At the beginning the guide had asked if we were worried about falling out. I had said yes, and what do I do? Fall out of course. Everything they tell you to do just fly's out of your head. They saw grab the rope on the boat to catch yourself. Didn't do that. One thing they failed to tell us that if you fall out IN the rapid it will recycle you. You have to swim out of it and THEN float on your back feet pointed downriver with your butt up as not to hit rocks underwater. So I am in the rapid trying to float on my back and I am getting nowhere so I swim and THEN float on my back to the boat where they pull me in by my life vest. What an experience. Shortly after that on another rapid our guide Mark falls in. I told him he just did it out of sympathy for me.

Diving the next day was awesome. Whenever Charlie gets his pictures on the reef I will have to include. There is just no way to describe it. I changed my mine on the boat and decided to do a resort dive instead of just snorkeling. needless to say I have never been sick on a boat before that day. Dramine where were you???? I was sick from the time we went out to the time we came back. Only time not sick was when I was diving. Which was a good thing. It was a good decision though, diving instead of snorkeling alone. I saw more up close and got to touch some things as well. Including a giant clam!!!!!!!
Met on the boat and had dinner with them at:

Back at the hotel (Floriana) we had an interesting shower curtain that we had to take a picture of :
