Sydney

images/airport.jpg (17444 bytes)Upon arrival to the Sydney airport we purchased a pass for the transit system to allow up to use bus, ferry, or train as much as we wanted for 3 days. Not too shabby. To our advantage was the exchange rate. Practically 2(AUS) to 1(US). So the cost was $85AUS. The public transport over there is much nicer in my opinion.

So what did I see next???????? What do you think?????????? Our hotel of course (BIG GRIN). Ok so I didn't get a picture of it per se but I took one off the roof and then on of the hot tub ON the roof. We ended up staying at the same hotel on the last night before we left so I have a picture there.

Not only that we had a few scenes from the movie "Down and Under" being shot outside of the hotel. Just like being in New York........ (check out the cop car in the background)

Then there was this really cool park across from us called Hyde Park (we stayed in the Hyde Park Plaza Hotel) The trees created a look that I thought was straight out of Sleepy Hollow. The fountain was cool as well. This park had paths throughout it that made an X as well as a straight cross.

Then of course we went and took LOTS of pictures of......yep, you guessed it, the Opera House and Harbor Bridge. It was the first place that we went of course! Also if you look closely on the bridge you can see little dots. Those dots are people actually climbing the bridge. I chickened out but Charlie and Christopher were up for the challenge!
