Australia: The Adventure Begins

As you can see we were such a happy bunch at the beginning!
The travelers are from let to right: Jennifer, me, Charlie, and Christopher.
I was almost late to the airport from our city of departure, due to an accident on the interstate. Then at there connecting flight to LA a new twist was thrown in. The flight before before ours had been canceled. Ours was delayed an hour as was Christopher's (due to job duties it was unclear as to if Christopher would be traveling with us to LA in the first place). We had to hope that Christopher could get on our flight as a stand by otherwise he would be late for the Sydney flight. So when his name was called Jennifer shouted out with glea!
Then we were lucky enough to have an escort waiting for us in LA to lead us safely to our Quantas flight. (She was a little shy, but let us hold her sign for the picture.
On the flight we are, all 14 hours of it. We were "lucky" enough to have seats right in front of the video screen. Unfortunately we didn't move quick enough and had to sleep in our cramped little seats while other passengers sprawled out in four seats together. Live and learn. Charlie is a little camera shy here.........
